Join the BOARD in 2020

WRMFA is a volunteer-based , not-for-profit youth sports organization. We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about football  and want to help Waterloo Region Football develop and enhance our programs by taking an active role on our board. This is a highly rewarding experience and a chance to get involved and make a difference in your local community.

There are positions available for all different skill sets and experience levels.
Responsibilities vary per position, however every board member attends monthly board meetings , supports all WRMFA events and represents our association with pride.

REGISTRAR POSITION: Training Available Now
Deanna Woodland is stepping down as our registrar for 2020 so in order to have a replacement ready we are looking for interested volunteers to come forward now and complete a training session with Deanna to understand our registration system and processes, ready for our winter season.

Nomination Process for 2020 BOD
Start the Application by either:

a) You as a member of WRMFA can nominate another member in good standing who you think would be a good candidate for the board.  Have the nomination seconded and email it to the address below. We will then contact the candidate to confirm their nomination acceptance.
b) . If you would like to be a board member, you start the application process by having any member in good standing of WRMFA sign your nomination form and then have it seconded by another member.   You then email the form as per the instructions below.

Deadline for submission is October 31, 2019

Nominations received after 11:59 pm, October 31, 2019 will not be accepted.
Our secretary will email all nominees to accept their nomination.

Next Steps
After the deadline of October 31, 2019, we will invite all nominees in for a meet and greet with the current WRMFA Executive where we can provide details on the role and expectations of a Board Member and individual director positions. We will also discuss police background checks which are required by all board members.
Each applicant will then complete and sign a volunteer information form.
Please Note:  You need to be  a member in good-standing to have your application approved.

The board election will take place at our AGM in January 2020. (time and date tba)
